"Let food be thy medicine" - Hippocrates

Welcome to Ryans-ModernLife.com, I am Ryan Niederberger. This site is about my journey through a juicing detox and a commitment to a lifestyle change from junk food to raw food. On this site you will find useful facts on juicing, juicing detox and fasts, enemas, veganism, and raw foodism. Being part of the resistance I believe in freedom of speech and open source to most all data. On my site you will not find information that is trying to sell you something or one sided because of a sponsor. I am giving you raw facts on raw food and how it changed my life and possibly those of my friends and family. I will provide links for other sites and books for you to gather your own information and come to your own conclusions on what is best for your body. I can show you how to do it and what to do but it comes down to YOU to do it. For me it was simple; keep living the way I was and most likely at a younger age end up with heart disease or diabetes or who knows what, or I can take responsibility for the way I live my life and the foods I feed my body. This is more than just a detox and lifestyle change this is also a freeing of the mind from the image of health that is portrayed by some medical doctors, pharmaceutical companies, and our own government. In the words of Morpheus: I'm trying to free your mind, Neo. But I can only show you the door. You're the one that has to walk through it.

A little about me: I am your typical American man who has just as normal of a life as most. I ate as a normal American would; BBQ, pizza, wings, burgers, and endless amounts of sweets, deep fried, process and preserved foods. I would also go to bars and spend countless amounts of money on beer, liquor and bar food. At work I am an IT professional who spend lots of time, maybe 12 hours a day sometimes, behind computers, sitting or sometimes standing. I would also come home from work sit in my recliner, pop open a beer on some days, and watch TV or movies to "relax" or till bed time. I had trouble sleeping and would wake never feeling rested. My stress levels were all over the place and I had a very short attention span for most things. I always thought there wasn't enough time in the day to do everything you needed to do. So how would I be able to work in time to eat right or get exercise? I think we are all brainwashed or taught to believe that eating healthy and being healthy is a chore that is not necessary to do. We think there are pills out there to "fix" our illnesses, so what do I need to eat right for? Please don't take what I am saying wrong. I love doctors, they save lives of many people; they have a number of great fields of study. I also know that some medications do help people, but I firmly believe that eating raw food and living a healthy lifestyle is the only pill you will ever need. Most medical universities get their money from pharmaceutical companies, so how could what they teach not be influnced to teach only medical treatments -vs- organic natural ways of healing the body. We are all battling a heath care crisis right now and this type of treatment is being noticed by larger and larger groups of people every day. Without YOU and I spreading the word we will never get the world out of this health care crisis.
